Of course, we are all excited for tonight’s event! Masquerade Networking with a Purpose! Kay ‘n Dave’s in Culver City, 6:30-10 – we hope to see you there! Grab a bite to eat, or a drink or just come out to hear more about LIST. You can also buy your LIST 2011 Calendars, and we will also have an opportunity drawing – tickets are only $2 and there are some great prizes!
This week, I saw great progress with one of our students that I have mentioned recently. He is a second grade boy with a learning disability whom has not learned to read yet. He is, however, making great progress! His blending or sounding out skills are really improving, and best of all, he is enjoying reading now! This is probably half the battle right there! His focus as a result seems to be much greater than ever before. I know that by the end of the year, he will be reading and we will be able to count him as another success story for LIST!
The students are also very excited because we are having our first LIST Halloween Party this Sunday. A group is coming in from a local church and has some great activities planned. They will be doing a screeching balloon ghost science experiment, an estimation math project with candy in a jar, and much more. Look for pictures next week of this fun event!
Also, don’t forget to purchase your LIST 2011 Calendar. You can do so tonight at Kay ‘n Dave’s, or you can purchase by clicking here!
