Buisness As Usual

Last week was business as usual. Since we started our new attendance policy, our students have been very consistent in their attendance. This is great of course because we no longer have students skipping their sessions now and then. On the other hand, it does not allow us to include new students from our waiting list.
The students are really excited because we have a group coming in to throw them a Halloween Party! The group comes from a local church and they are doing a study on social justice and they wanted to put into practice what they have been studying. Since a couple members of the study already volunteer at LIST, they contacted me to see what they could do for us. The students are already hyped about Halloween and with the addition of the Halloween party, it is all they can talk about!
Finally, don’t forget our upcoming fundraiser THIS THURSDAY at Kay ‘n Dave’s in Culver City from 6:30-10:00. Twenty percent of the profits will be donated to us from the restaurant, and you will also be able to buy tickets for the opportunity drawing as well as buy your 2011 LIST Calendar! We hope to see you there!
