It is amazing to realize that the school year is nearly over! LIST will only be open two more weeks! This week, we began our enrollment for our summer program, as well as for our tutoring program next year. The summer program is filling up, but the school program is filling up VERY fast. I believe, we will have a waiting list for next year, starting in a few days! I have a few more students to contact/sign up who are currently attending LIST, and then we will open our enrollment to those that are on our waiting list (if we have space).
The big excitement this week was the Fiesta Latina celebration that many of the students were involved in at the school. Fiesta Latina is an annual celebration the school holds, and since most of our neighborhood is Latino in heritage, this is a BIG deal for the students and the community. Attached is a picture of one of our LIST student’s who participated in the performances.
