The 3-4 Challenge

I’m a bit late in posting this, but better late than never! This week was full of student’s sharing their report cards with me. Many of them had made great improvements in their grades from past semesters. It was exciting to see how proud they were of the grades they had earned.
In looking over their grades, I decided to issue the 3-4 challenge. The students are given grades using numbers, 4 being the highest. Their new challenge is to earn 3’s or 4’s on their report cards – if they do this, they will receive a prize (yet to be determined). I am hoping that with further motivation from LIST, they will all raise their grades and do even better than they did this past quarter.
Once again, as I track the number of tutoring sessions we are able to complete each week, my excitement it growing because we are moving ever closer to completing 1000 tutoring sessions for this school year! Party plans are in the works to celebrate this amazing achievement!
