Today ended up being a slow registration day, but I am not too disappointed. We did not do as much initial advertising as we were thinking. It is just going to be a matter of time before the word spreads that we are open for business. We are also going to get a banner in the next couple weeks, and that will help identify us as well.
The site itself is really starting to come together. Our board of directors has been hard at work tracking down different height chairs and obtaining the necessary supplies we will need like pencils, paper, rulers and so on.
I had a few girls stop in and chat this afternoon, two in fifth grade and one in sixth. They wanted a job. I told them I could not pay them anything, and they still wanted a job! They just want something to do after school. I told them they could sometimes stop by and see if I had any work for them.
Anyway, next week, I will start tutoring and the fact that we are open will begin to spread like a wild fire!
