Just Around the Corner!

With the hot weather this week, we have all been reminded that summer is around the corner! The students are sharing their summer plans, and everyone is excited for a break. Some of our students are facing changes in the upcoming months. One student, a sixth grader is expecting the arrival of a little sister! (Hopefully the transition is not a difficult one!) Other students are switching to different schools, either because they are moving on from elementary school, or because their parents have decided a charter school is better for their child. With this, some students are still waiting to find out if they got in to their desired school. Of course, there is the regular moving of grades which brings a new teacher, different rules and expectations and teacher personalities. So, while the summer is a great time of rest, it also signals changes to come. Of course all the students are very excited for our LIST summer program and they can’t wait to find out what experiments and art projects we will be tackling!
