The holidays are fast approaching and we have a lot of great activities planned in the next several months. We will be closed for the Thanksgiving break, but after that we jump right in with an upcoming art class. I’m excited to see what project the student’s will work on this time! After that, a local church is planning a Christmas party for the students. They are in the beginning stages of planning, but I think the students will have a great time. They really enjoyed the Halloween party that a local church planned for them last year. Also in December, we will start rehearsing for our first LIST Choir! A local singing group is planning a benefit concert for LIST and the choir director is hoping to include our LIST students in singing some of the songs. Right now, some of our students seem a bit hesitant, but with encouragement, I know they will gain a lot from the experience. The concert is scheduled for January 22nd so mark our calendars; the location is yet to be determined but keep posted because more details will follow.
