Last week was another great week here at LIST. Many more students came back after the long break of being closed, and we started sign-ups for our art class on January 29! I also great improvement in one of our students reading ability – he is now beginning to blend words more easily, and remember whole words as well. I have mentioned this student in the past, he has a brother that comes to LIST and they both have a learning disability. It will be so fun to see the progress he makes the rest of the year.
One of our students also won a spot on her grades spelling bee! She was not very happy about it as she is shy girl, but we are so proud of her! I told her to imagine the audience wearing funny clothes, she didn’t seem to think this would help, but we will keep encouraging her of course.
Other than that, we are all just getting back into the swing of things, and the students, as well as myself are so glad to be working together again.
